A Delta 8 THC High

A DELTA 8 THC HIGH

A question that gets brought up a lot; does Delta 8 THC get you high? There seems to be a lot of confusion about what Delta 8 THC is. However, we want to clear up some facts about this cannabinoid, what it is, and does it get you high.

The Middle Ground Between CBD and THC

We often refer to Delta 8 THC as the middle ground between CBD and THC; although, it is technically THC. The reason why is because it’s Hemp-derived – comes from the Hemp plant. Most THC that is sold for the sole purpose to get you high comes from the Marijuana plant. However, THC that comes from the marijuana plant has what’s called Delta 9 THC. In order for CBD or Delta 8 THC to be sold legally, it must have 0.03% Delta 9 THC or below.

What CBD and Delta 8 THC have in common is that they are both Hemp-derived and have less than 0.03% Delta 9 THC. However, the big difference is that Delta 8 is psychoactive and CBD is non-psychoactive. This means Delta 8 can give you a head change while CBD does not. Also, depending on the type of CBD product that you use; you’re getting different Hemp properties from each product. This is important especially if you’re using both products for specific purposes. Another important thing to note is that it also comes in different strains.

Delta 8 THC Strains

If you still don’t know if Delta 8 THC can get you high or not, the short answer is yes. But, it’s a different type of high that is different from traditional Marijuana. The strains have a lot to do with the type of high it produces.

INDICAΩ

Products like our Razzberry Kush or Liquid Diamonds Prerolls come in Indica strains. When you think of Indica think of In-the-couch. This type of strain promotes relaxation and chill vibes. Also, to enhance the strain we add terpenes that compliment the type high it produces. This is what gives it its flavor and mellow vibes.

SATIVA

The Sativa strain promotes a more active high which you will find in our Blue Dream Hemp Flower and our Strawberry Cough. This is the ideal strain to get your day started with because it’s not meant to get you feeling sluggish. Also, just like our Indica strains, we add a Terpene profile that compliments it and produces a rich flavor.

HYBRID

Lastly, our Hybrid strain combines the best of Indica and Sativa strains and is included in products like Banana Candy Kush and Gelato 2 Gram Blunts. This strain is best to take when the clock strikes 4:20 because it’s not meant to get you sluggish or energetic. The Terpene profile used also enhances the user’s experience.

Getting The Best High

When you’re trying to decide which strain will produce the best high it’s also important to pick the right product. For example, our edibles are great but if you take too much at one time you might not feel that great. Therefore, knowing your dosages and your tolerance is very important. The last thing you want to do is get too high where it makes you feel uncomfortable.

EDIBLE DOSAGE

Some of our most popular products are our Delta 8 Edibles, due to the variety of delicious flavors we have available, and their ease of use. While smoking and vaping are kinds of inhalation, Delta 8 THC edibles are any type of consumable THC substance that you eat. For our Gummies, we recommend consuming one gummy to establish individual tolerance, and slowly increasing dosage to attain desired effect. Edibles take a bit longer to activate than inhalables, and effects can be delayed for up to two hours.

VAPE DOSAGE

With these products, it’s a little easier to determine how high you’re getting. You’re able to take a couple of hits of vape and wait a few minutes before determining that you need more. This is the reason why people prefer to vape their Delta 8 THC over ingesting It. You feel the high a lot faster when you vape or smoke anything. However, a lot of people are still not comfortable vaping anything so they use edibles or tinctures instead.

Getting High Off of Delta 8 THC

Although you are able to feel a high from Delta 8 THC it is different from traditional Marijuana. This has a lot to do with the Chemistry composition between the 2 products. On a molecular level, Delta 9 THC (Marijuana) has a double bond on the 9th carbon chain whereas Delta 8 THC (Hemp derived) has a double bond on the 8th carbon chain. Also, the type of high depends on the strain you take and the dosage of the product. To sum it all up, yes! Delta 8 THC does get you high but it’s a different high because of its Chemistry.
