Learn About Hemp-Derived THC

HempDerivedTHC

Do you know about hemp-derived THC? Although hemp and marijuana are both classified as Cannabis Sativa L plants, they are cultivated to serve different purposes. Hemp is known for producing things like CBD, paper, and other materials. While marijuana is known for producing THC, hemp-derived THC has been getting a lot more popular, and here’s why.

What is Hemp Derived THC?

What is Hemp Derived THC?

Hemp-derived THC is an extract made from the hemp plant instead of the marijuana plant. The hemp plant is bred to produce high amounts of CBD and low amounts of THC. However, the THC that both the marijuana plant and hemp plant can make tends to produce the same effects. In other words, the THC from both plants can get you high.

While the plants may look and smell the same they are different when it comes to their legalization. Hemp-derived cannabinoids like CBD, Delta-8 THC, and Delta-10 THC were made possible under the Farm Bill. While Marijuana is yet to be made legal on the Federal level. Here is a breakdown of popular hemp-derived THC.

DELTA-8 THC

This cannabinoid is extracted from the hemp plant. Although it’s a form of THC, it has less than 0.03% Delta -9 THC. This is important to note because Delta-9 THC is considered Marijuana and Delta 8-0THC is not.

DELTA-10 THC

Another cannabinoid that is fairly new to the hemp industry is Delta-10 THC. Just like Delta-8, this is a form of THC with less than 0.03% THC.

HEMP-DERIVED THC WILL GET YOU HIGH

One important takeaway from both Delta-8 and Delta-10 is that they are both psychoactive; this means that they will get you high. However, it’s not the same high as Delta-9 THC. This is because Marijuana is cultivated to produce top-shelf Delta 9 products; while hemp is cultivated to produce top-shelf CBD products.

This doesn’t mean that Delta 8 or Delta 10 are not top-shelf – it just means that they’re less potent than marijuana. However, they can still get you very high if you take in huge amounts. This is because they’re concentrated extracts derived from the hemp plant instead of

The Difference Between Hemp and Marijuana

As stated earlier – hemp and marijuana are both classified as Cannabis Sativa L plants.; they both look and smell the same. However, the biggest difference is the amount of THC that both plants produce. Also, the type of products that both plants produce are different as well.

THC

Both plants are able to produce Delta-8, Delta-9, and Delta-10 THC. However, restrictions prohibit Delta 9 THC from being sold across state lines. This means that marijuana (Delta-9) is only available within state lines that allow the use and sale of it, while Delta-8 and Delta-10 are available to be sold across state lines.

Therefore, Delta-8 and Delta-10 are not as potent as marijuana, but it’s able to be sold across state lines. This means that if your state allows Delta-8 and Delta-10 products you wouldn’t need any special license to purchase them.
